I like Instagram.
I think I like instagram more than Facebook.. Yes. I said it. No, I'm not feverish.
I like the idea of sharing a simple picture, with or without caption and captivating your audience. There are people I follow for fitness, comedy and inspiration. One of the newest inspirations is the #365storieschallenge that's been floating around. My beautiful cousin decided to partake in this challenge, and inspired me to do so.
I used to love writing, I would scribble on napkins or sticky notes and had 4 books started by the time I was in highschool. I won literary awards when I was young, my stories and poems were included in yearbooks and presentations.
So what happened? Why did I stop? I wish I had some great excuse, backpacking around Europe, sailing the 7 seas, etc. But nope. Nothing. I just stopped. Well, sort of. This 365 day challenge has inspired me to write again. To dust off the old laptop, and continue writing the story I started writing long ago.
Within the #365storieschallenge I have included some of the portions of that book. There are fun stories, and then there are honest stories. Brutally honest stories. And sometimes I hesitate before I hit the check mark on the screen. I'm not worried about what people will think once they read it. I'm not worried if people will question my honesty. I am not worried if people will doubletap the image.
I think I hesitate because I'm sharing a part of me that no one has seen before. No one knows this story, I've never told it, not even to myself.
But I believe that it needs to be written.
